Apple Speculoos Porridge

What could be better than a heartwarming cinnamon porridge in the morning with hot apple and speculoos on top? This recipe is quickly made, very healthy and will keep you full for a long time.

Duration 10 minutes
Ingredients for 1 portion
For the porridge:
  • 40g oat flakes
  • ½ banana
  • 150ml plant drink (here: oat drink)
  • 100ml water
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 5g flea seeds (optional)
  • 10g flax seed (optional)
  • 1 speculoos biscuit
For the apple compote:
  • 1 big apple (here: 200g)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon liquid sweetener (here: maple syrup)
  • approx. 50ml water
Preparation
  1. mash banana in a pot
  2. add oat flakes, cinnamon, salt, plant drink and water and simmer until the desired consistency is achieved
  3. meanwhile cut the apple, simmer with water, maple syrup and cinnamon in another pot for a few minutes
  4. when the porridge is ready, add linseed and flea seed
  5. serve porridge with apple compote and speculoos
