Apple Speculoos Porridge

What could be better than a heartwarming cinnamon porridge in the morning with hot apple and speculoos on top? This recipe is quickly made, very healthy and will keep you full for a long time.

Duration 10 minutes
Ingredients for 1 portion
For the porridge:
- 40g oat flakes
- ½ banana
- 150ml plant drink (here: oat drink)
- 100ml water
- 1 pinch of salt
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 5g flea seeds (optional)
- 10g flax seed (optional)
- 1 speculoos biscuit
For the apple compote:
- 1 big apple (here: 200g)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon liquid sweetener (here: maple syrup)
- approx. 50ml water
Preparation
- mash banana in a pot
- add oat flakes, cinnamon, salt, plant drink and water and simmer until the desired consistency is achieved
- meanwhile cut the apple, simmer with water, maple syrup and cinnamon in another pot for a few minutes
- when the porridge is ready, add linseed and flea seed
- serve porridge with apple compote and speculoos
