High Protein Mango Carrot Smoothie Bowl

The mixture of carrots and mango sounds strange? But in the end you don't taste it at all. The carrot is only used to smuggle in some vegetables. And in combination with mango and banana it tastes really good in the Smoothie Bowl because of its sweetness.

What do you think? I think the color of this Smoothie Bowl is really nice. How often do you eat an orange smoothie bowl? The protein powder also gives you the perfect base for the day. Especially if you still want to do sports, then this high protein version is perfect. Optionally, you can skip the protein powder, but then the Smoothie Bowl will be a little less creamy. Unless you use frozen instead of fresh fruit. Personally, this is always too cold for me in the morning. I prefer it refrigerator-cold or at room temperature.

To make sure that the carrot doesn't stand out, you should mix the Smoothie Bowl really thoroughly so that the carrot is no longer chunky. You can also vary the toppings according to your taste. I use grounded flax seeds in almost every breakfast to ensure that my body is supplied with enough Omega 3 every day.

The mixture of mango and carrots sounds strange? It's not. It's just a trick to incorporate more vegetables into your daily routine. And I promise you: you won't taste the carrot unpleasantly. In combination with banana, this Smoothie Bowl tastes simply like heaven!

Duration 10 minutes
Ingredients for 1 portion
Base:
  • 1/2 mango¹
  • 1/2 banana¹
  • 1 carrot
  • 100g plant drink (here: oat drink)
  • 15g plantbased protein powder (optional)²
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of salt
Toppings:
  • 1/2 banana
  • 10g flax seeds
  • 5g hemp seeds
  • 10g goji berries
  • 3g amaranth puffed
Preparation
  1. put the basic ingredients into a mixer and mix thoroughly until a smooth mixture is obtained
  2. decorate with the topping ingredients and serve
Remarks
¹ You can use both frozen and fresh fruit. The Smoothie Bowl gets creamier if you use frozen ones.
² I use here a rice and pea protein mixture, which I mixed from 70g rice protein and 30g pea protein. This 7:3 mixing ratio is important to get all essential amino acids. If necessary, I always take out as much powder from the jar as I need.
